This section includes definitions, including the scope of medical professionals that are subject to the law.
This section is targeted to protect children under the age of 18 from being subject to certain harmful, unproven medical procedures and interventions, such as:
– surgeries that remove healthy organs and result in sterilization
– mastectomies and other unnecessary cosmetic procedures
– puberty blocking drugs that prevent natural development
– unnatural cross-sex hormone injunctions that lead to sterilization
only when such procedures are done to cause the minor to feel or appear as the opposite sex.
This section reaffirms that the law wouldn’t apply to any medical treatments necessary to assist children with medically-verified disorders of sexual development, such as children with a natural hormone deficiency or who are born with a chromosomal disorder.
